Wildlife Safari Winston, Oregon

Have you always wanted to go on a safari tour but Africa seems a little far out of reach. Well if you are ever near Oregon go check out the Wildlife Safari in Winston. It was one of the most amazing animal parks I have been to!

Not only was this place amazing, but It was very inexpensive also. Normally an adult ticket is $19.99, but I found a Groupon for $22 for two Adult tickets and our son was free because he was under three. Groupon was also ruining a 20% off local deals and I got the tickets for less thank $18! I love a good deal! I also once bought 50% off tickets to an Escape Room as a fun date night on Groupon.

We went to the Wildlife Safari for my birthday earlier this week, and everyone loved it! I’m so edited to share my photos and tips with you! What’s your favorite safari animal? Have you ever been to a drive through animal park? Let me know in the comments below!

-Enjoy!♥

When you first get in there is a walk around area. This area is FREE!!! I couldn’t believe it! It was just like a small zoo! Crocodiles, lions, a petting zoo, you could even ride a camel for a little extra! This time of year on the weekends they have a pumpkin patch with some extra activities for the kiddos! My recommendation is to fight the crowds and go on the weekend because we missed a lot coming on a weekday.

We missed the elephant encounters, camel rides, and the feeding cups! In one section of the safari you can feed the emus! You can purchase a cup filled with food and they birds will come up to your windows to eat! Since we didn’t get food, they came up and pecked at our windows!

This safari definitely gave us an experience like never before. We were twenty feet away from a heard of zebras, watched elephants play in the water around us, and were stuck in a road jam behind an oryx that was liking the hood of our car!! I was so impressed with the park and how much they were doing for animal conservation. Click here to view their website and read all about their amazing cheetah breeding program. We can’t wait to go back!

  3. This looks like fun! A few years ago we went on the Disney safari thing at one of the theme parks. I can’t remember which one, they all seem to blend together for me! However, my kids were terrified! So maybe one day when they are a little older things like this will be fun.

  4. How cool is this!? I love the idea of seeing the animals but not going all the way to Africa. <3 Love your photos too!
