My Pregnancy Must Haves

Body Boost

Stretch marks may be genetic but this lotion is amazing. I bought it with my first pregnancy at Motherhood Maternity and had to get it again this time! I love the scents they have have the way it feels on my skin. Even if you already have stretch marks this lotion can help reduce the appearance of them. I used the lotion post birth last time as recommended on the container for a better bounce back.

WATER!!!!

You seriously cannot drink enough water while pregnant. My doctor said she recommends drinking 10 8 oz. glasses of water a day. I try to get the bulk of my water drinking in during the day so then I’m not waking up to pee even more than you already have to while pregnant.  I always think having a fun cup or water bottle makes drinking more water easier! I have the hip water bottle like the one below!

Walking

They say walking makes labor easier! I try to get in my 10,000 steps a day at minimum once in the third trimester both times. Walking is also the first work out you can do post part partum. If you don’t have a Fitbit or other fitness tracker, most smart phones have a built in app to track your steps.

Snacks

But seriously, I had pretty bad morning sickness with my second pregnancy. the only thing that kept me from vomiting was slowly snacking throughout the day. Crackers were one of the best in the begining and fresh fruit seemed to be my favorite throughout. Fruit cups in real fruit juice were an easy go to for a work snack on my breaks, or sometimes I would make a fruit salad on my meal prep day and divide out a couple of portions for the week.

Prenatal Gummies

Specifically the gummies. With the morning sickness came the most intense gag reflex I have ever had. Just brushing my teeth was a difficultly let alone trying to swallow a huge horse pill. I even tried cutting them in half and still would gag them up over half the time. Being a Target mom of course I buy them there and they are soo yummy!

Maternity Clothes

You don’t have to spend a lot of money! Go thrift shopping, trade with friend that aren’t using them currently. My sister and I have passed our maternity clothes back and forth. We have gotten more than our money’s worth out of these clothes! I recommend maternity clothes because your normal clothes will eventually get uncomfortable and ill fitting. Not everyone feels glowing and beautiful during pregnancy, I definitely didn’t!, but wearing clothes that fit you right will help you feel better.
