Let’s be honest, any holiday that revolves around food and alcohol is my kind of holiday. And the fact that St. Patrick’s day is two weeks after my birthday means I am always in the celebrating mood! I have learned quite a few drink recipes over my 3 years of bar hopping and my favorite St. Pattys day drink is a little green man shot.
If you have ever played King’s Cup then you know the rule, a little green man. It is when you have a little man sitting on the edge of your cup (imaginary) and you have to take him off before every drink or else you will swallow him! And this fun little game inspired a delicious little shot.

Little Green Man
(multiply ounces per shot you want to make)
1 oz coconut vodka
.5 oz sour apple pucker
1 oz Sprite
1 lemon slice
Rock sugar
Sour powder
Steps
- Mix vodka, pucker, sprite and ice in a shot shaker and shake 4 times
- Coat rim of shot glass with sour powder
- Pour shaken drink mix into shot glasses
- Place a lemon covered in sugar on top of the shot glass
To take shot
- Remove lemon (like a little green man)
- Lick rim and shoot drink
- Suck on lemon!
