Homemade Salsa: The Perfect Spice and Flavor!

Is there anything better than a good salsa? No. There is not. It goes with chips, tacos, burritos, and really anything you want to put it on. Try it with this pork street taco recipe if you want a great meal!  But there are such things as bad salsa and good salsa. This family recipe combines all the best flavors that you look for in a good salsa: cilantro, garlic, and spice. It is perfect for parties, dinners, or just a night in with good friends and mango margaritas!

 

Ingredients

1 oz package of Japones
24 oz can of Del Monte garlic and onion pasta sauce
1 key lime
1 small onion
1 medium tomato
1/2 bunch of cilantro (remove stems)
1 jalapeno
12 oz tomato juice
1 tbs salt
1 tbs oregano
  1. In blender blend Japones, lime juice, and Del Monte sauce. Once completely blended pour into a bowl.
  2. In bowl ad tomato juice, salt, oregano, stir together
  3. Finely chop onion, tomato, cilantro, and jalapeno. Add to mixture in bowl.
  4. Fold in chopped mixture to blended sauce in bowl.
  5. Pair with some chips or even some tacos and enjoy!

  1. Delicious! This sounds like an incredible combo of flavors and the perfect amount of spiciness. My husband loves salsa, so I may have to surprise him this weekend!

  2. I have always wanted to try and make homemade salsa and never really found a good recipe…..until now! I am for sure going to try this!!
