Best Meal Prep Recipes

In February we challenged ourselves to meal prep the entire month. It was so hard to stick to at first, and we made plenty of mistakes! However, we have found some of our favorite new recipes! These meal prep recipes have become regulars on our household menu and most of them are even Gluten- Free!

Meal prep is an easy way to save time and lower your family grocery bill! Each week I spend about 4 hours prepping most lunches, breakfasts and dinners, this saves me aleast 2 hours a day spent cooking! And when I go to the grocery store with a set plan, I spend wayyyy less!

If you are considering starting to meal prep try these dishes first! They are bound to be a hit in your family just like mine! If your a regular “meal prepper” like us, let me know your favorites in the comments below so we can try!

Watch soon for a post coming out, What I wish I knew about meal prep before I started.

Other simple meals to make for meal prep

  1. Protein boxes: we include some deli meat, cheese sticks, hard boiled eggs, celery and peanut butter, and nuts!
  2. Salad: I make one salad meal a week: chefs salad, taco salad, chicken caesar salad, or buffalo chicken salad.
  3. Peanut butter or Turkey sandwiches are a good filler for towards the end of the week when your meal prep might be running out
  4. Anything in the crockpot! You can prep it on your prep day but then not cook it until day of!
